We are proud to present our CSR Report 2024, in which we report on the results of our corporate social responsibility policy. Cornelis Vrolijk strives to supply healthy products from the sea in a responsible manner, with respect for people, the environment and society.

Our CSR policy is built around four pillars: sustainable harvesting, responsible processing, care for people and healthy food. In 2024, we set to work to further concretise the policy and we also renewed our double materiality analysis to lay the foundation for future CSRD reporting.

The world around us is in flux, but issues such as food security, the protein transition and transparency in the food chain certainly offer opportunities. For example, the sustainable procurement policy has been updated and now covers all purchased raw materials, both wild-caught and farmed, which increases transparency in the chain.

Healthy lives and a vital sea are central to our work. This means not only that we supply healthy food, but also that we provide a safe and enjoyable workplace for everyone. Safety, vitality and job satisfaction remain important pillars in this regard.

Our vessels continue to contribute structurally to scientific research, enabling us to gain a better understanding of fish populations and ensuring the continued healthy management of fish stocks. Cooperation is essential in this regard – with partners in the chain and with each other. Working sustainably is part of our daily work, and all our employees contribute to this.

This report provides a good picture of Cornelis Vrolijk's sustainable course and the social contribution we make as a food supplier to many people worldwide.
